Convert former Vietnamese addresses to the new 2025 format

This tool calls the GMap Cloud API with the demo key: it finds the location first, then returns the nearest address in both its former and new form.

How to use it

  1. Enter an address, a place name or a “latitude, longitude” coordinate.
  2. GMap finds the best match and reverse-geocodes its coordinate.
  3. Compare the 63-province address (province – district – commune) with the 34-province address (province – commune).

Good to know

Results are the nearest address

When you enter a place name, the addresses shown are the nearest address at that place’s coordinate.

Not every record has both versions

Availability depends on the data for each area. When a version is missing, the tool says so.

The demo key is rate-limited

To update many records, integrate the API with a key provided for your application.

Frequently asked questions

When did the province merger take effect?

Since 1 July 2025, local government has operated a two-level model: 34 provinces and centrally governed cities, and communes, wards and special zones. Districts no longer exist as a level.

Can I convert many addresses at once?

This tool handles one address at a time. Businesses can integrate the search and reverse-geocoding APIs into their own update process.

Is what I type stored?

Your input is sent to the GMap Cloud API to run the lookup. This page does not record search text in its usage analytics.
